About Robert

ROBERT PRZYBYSŁAWSKI
initiator, responsible for the project

Graduated in Material Engineering and Biomaterials for Medicine at the Faculty of Materials Science of the University of Silesia in Katowice and in Management and Production Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology.

Robert’s professional experience is based on several years of professional work at Zarys Sp. z o.o. Sp. k. which is one of the leading manufacturers of medical devices in Poland. In the above mentioned company he worked as Production Manager. It consisted in manufacturing of ready-made sterile medical packs for operating theatres. The goal was to start production from scratch, which was achieved 3 years after employment. Robert also oversaw the construction and start-up of the sterile clean room production of the above mentioned medical packs. In addition, his knowledge of ERP systems enabled him to efficiently automate the process and implement a modern management system. The production of medical products cannot take place without the relevant documents confirmed during audits, in which he also took an active part. Privately a father, yacht captain, Arctic enthusiast, scouting instructor, social activist, drummer.

About Krzysztof

KRZYSZTOF POPEK
head of sales, operations coordinator

Graduated with a degree in Mechatronics from the Faculty of Material Science, University of Silesia in Katowice. The title of his thesis was: “Fluid flow control using a PLC”. Studying science allowed him to get acquainted with the environment related to robotics, industrial programming and broadly defined material science.

Krzysztof’s professional experience is based on several years of working for Orange S.A. There, he was involved in cooperation and acquiring customers in the extension of FTTH (Fiber To The Home) and FTTB (Fiber To The Business) networks to residential and commercial buildings. This experience allowed him to enter the world of sales and cooperation with customers. This work resulted in signed contracts with companies, housing cooperatives and property managers in the Upper Silesian and Zagłębie Metropolitan Area.

At Medintech, Krzysztof Popek works on a daily basis to acquire customers from the medical sector. He has established contacts with numerous medical, dental and physiotherapy practices, as well as outpatient clinics and hospitals (Katowice Oncology Centre, Medical University of Wrocław). The situation related to the Coronavirus pandemic allowed us to start cooperating with manufacturing companies that use protective measures in their daily work, including Mabuchi Motor Poland, Bitron Poland, Whirpool Poland, Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa, Polska Grupa Górnicza, Viatris, Mylan Healthcare. Together with Robert in the first year of the company’s operations they generated turnover of PLN 1 800 000 net mainly based on product distribution.

Privately, Krzysztof acts as a volunteer instructor of the Polish Scouting Association. For over 16 years he has been developing his soft skills related to team management, team building, and using unconventional ways to solve problems. He acts as a pilot of the Silesian Scouting Group of the Polish Scouting Association and together with his team provides programme support for approximately 1000 young scouts and instructors of the Association.

About Marta

MARTA KĄDZIOŁKA
export coordinator, with responsibility for brand building

Graduated from the University of Silesia with a bachelor’s degree in applied languages (French and English) and from the University of Economics in Katowice with a master’s degree in Finance and Accounting.
Marta Kądziołka gained her professional experience first at the prestigious audit firm PriceWaterhouse Coopers, where for about two years she held the position of Senior Resource Planning Specialist, and then at ZARYS International Group, where she initially held the position of Junior Export Specialist.
During her 6-year work for ZARYS Group companies, Marta’s experience was enriched not only with foreign sales development, but also with creation and implementation of a completely new branch of the Company – yellowSPORT sports medicine products section, which successfully supplies the biggest sports clubs in Poland in many disciplines. Marta’s current positions as Export and Brand Manager testify not only to her excellent knowledge of medical products, but also to the general cross-section of the industry, as well as production processes. Many years of association with ZARYS has allowed Marta to establish long-term and valuable business relationships with customers and suppliers. Visits to China gave an overview of manufacturing and business processes, and months of work in Spain as Territory Manager allowed her to well identify the needs of the European market.

About Paweł

PAWEŁ KACZMARSKI
coordinator of import, purchases and contacts with foreign partners

Gained his first professional experience in companies Learning Systems Poland and AXA Poland, dealing with the acquisition of new customers and servicing existing customers, both individual and business.

During his two years at Medintech, he has coordinated the addition of more than 1,000 products from 160 different manufacturers to the sales offering, covering several branches of the broad medical industry, of which about 500 are products permanently in the company’s warehouse. He built contacts with distributors and manufacturers of medical products from China, Malaysia, Italy, UK and Germany. In his previous work, he was responsible for maintaining stock levels, introducing new products to the sales offer and increasing price competitiveness and margins of the offered products.

Another professional challenge, which he is currently undertaking, is the implementation of a line of podiatric products from a renowned Italian manufacturer to be sold in Poland. Paweł has also organised the first export transaction in the company’s history, coordinating the sale of a large batch of surgical medical masks to Great Britain.

In addition, for several years he has been casually combining his passion with work, fulfilling his role of music and culture editor and leading a programme on Radio LUZ in Wrocław. On behalf of this institution, he conducted interviews with artists such as Leszek Możdżer, the band Laboratorium or Kompozyt and led the coverage of many music and cultural events, including the cult festival Jazz nad Odrą. Privately, a former basketball player and swimmer, NBA fan and amateur deep-sea sailor. Like several other band members, he can boast, among other things, of having circumnavigated the Svalbard archipelago.

About Olga
OLGA URBAŃSKA marketing coordinator, image supervisor

Graduated from the University of Silesia in Cieszyn with a degree in art, specialization: graphic design, and painting at PWSZ in Racibórz. She gained her professional experience doing apprenticeship in an advertising studio, where she dealt with creating advertising materials, creative concepts, graphic designs and other fruits of creative work. Currently, as an online shop and social media specialist, she is learning the secrets of e-commerce. She has several years of experience in direct sales and knows the medical industry from the e-commerce side. At Medintech, she is responsible for implementing the online sales system, which includes creating a marketing strategy, analysing the market situation and monitoring and improving the functioning of the online shop. She also deals with gaining the attention of customers, generating traffic and activity with the help of social media.

RESEARCH TEAM

JUSTYNA JUREK-SULIGA, PhD

Coordination and supervision of the progress of the project, substantive supervision of the entire project, keeping the documentation in accordance with the requirements, developing the final version of polymeric formulations, conducting tests to determine the resistance of materials to external factors, including chemical and environmental, collection of data on the basis of the research work conducted, analysis of the results, preparation of a report on the work conducted.

SYLWIA GOLBA, PhD

Supervision of the entire project, assistance in maintaining the documentation in accordance with requirements, assessment of the selection of polymer raw materials used to develop formulations through qualitative analysis, development of proposals for polymer formulations, assistance in collecting data on the basis of research work carried out, analysis of results, evaluation of the suitability of prepared mixtures in the dip-coating process, assistance in preparing the final report on the work carried out.
